According to a press release sent by the Ohio Department of Transportation, Dennison Avenue will be closed next week at Cadiz as part of the Township Road 243 bridge removal project over U.S. Route 22 in Harrison County.
Starting Monday, March 21, Dennison Avenue will be closed all next week to allow for the installation of a new storm sewer on the north side of the street. No official detour will be posted.
Work began late last November on the $1.5 million project to remove the bridge located between the intersections of U.S. 22/SR 9 and U.S. 22/U.S. 250 and relocate TR 243 to intersect with Dennison Avenue north of U.S. 22 and include a cul-de-sac south of U.S. 22.
One, 12-foot lane will be maintained in each direction on U.S. 22.
ODOT’s contractor is the Beaver Excavating Company, from Canton, Ohio, and the completion is mid-October 2016.
