jr hi basketballSCIO – On Wednesday Dec. 16, the Harrison Central 7th and 8th grade junior high boy’s basketball teams defeated the visiting Follansbee Blue Wave. During the 1st quarter of the 7th grade boy’s game, the Huskies would score 20 points before the Wave would get on the scoreboard. They would leave the 2nd frame with a score of 28 to 8, before closing on their night’s work with a final score of 47-16. During the 8th grade contest the Huskies would outscore the Blue waves 11-0 in the opening quarter, 23-5 in the 2nd and 31-10 in the 3rd frame.

As in the 7th grade game, the coaches would use their bench frequently, as the Huskies continuously kept up a fast game pace against the visitors. In the final quarter the 8th grade Huskies and Follansbee both would add 4 points each to the final score. The contest ended 35-14 favoring the hosts, making it another clean sweep for the junior high squads.
