Allen J. Bobot, 68, of Harrisville, Ohio, died suddenly at his home Monday, Nov. 16. He was born July 10, 1947 in Martins Ferry, a son of Carolyn Yablonski Bobot of Harrisville and the late Andrew Bobot.

He was retired from GTE after 30 years of service. He was a self-employed building contractor since 1979. He was a member of the former Cadiz Jaycees and was a member and past master of Harrison Lodge #219 F&AM, the Scottish Rite, Valley of Steubenville and a Catholic by faith.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Newell Trotter.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Patricia Trotter Bobot; his daughter, Elka (Scott) VanCuren; his grandson, Hunter VanCuren, all of Harrisville; a sister, Anita Bobot (Harold Randall) of Camp Hill, Pa.; and his mother-in-law, Naomi Trotter of Cadiz.

Friends may call Thursday from 2-8 and again Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 South Main St., Cadiz, with Rev. Fr. Thomas Chillog officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville, Ohio. Military honors will be conducted by the Cadiz American Legion. Masonic service will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
