CADIZ – Represented by defense attorney Jason Jackson, Keturah Krankovich, 42, appeared for an arraignment on Tuesday, Feb. 17 before Harrison County Common Pleas Judge T. Shawn Hervey.

Krankovich of 85152 Bakers Ridge Road, Jewett, is charged with illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse on to grounds of a detention facility or institution, which means she was caught attempting to pass drugs to an inmate.

Jackson requested release on her own recognizance noting that other than some minor traffic offenses, his client had no criminal history.

Assistant Prosecutor Jeffrey Bruzzese, did not object to Jackson’s request with the following stipulations: that Krankovich be subjected to random urinalysis testing and sign a waiver of extradition. Also, she is not to change her address without notification and not to leave the state of Ohio except for employment purposes.

Hervey granted the motion with those stipulations along with the crime of failing to appear for future hearings, which would be a felony in the fourth degree.

Krankovich is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on March 20 and a motion hearing on April 21.
