Gone-With-The-WindCADIZ – The Cadiz Business Association (CBA) on Wednesday, featured Nan Mattern as their guest speaker. Mattern is the curator of the Clark Gable Museum and announced a gala celebration of the 75th anniversary of Gone With The Wind (GWTW).

There will be two events held at different locations. On Friday, October 3, there will be a dinner at 5:30 p.m. at the Cadiz Country Club.

A special mystery play titled, “Sequel to Murder” will be featured with guest speakers, Patrick Curtis and Mickey Kuhn, child actors who starred in GWTW. The cost for Friday’s event is $50 per person.

The following day, the celebration will move to the Kent State Performing Arts Center in New Philadelphia. Curtis and Kuhn will again speak at 1 p.m. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

There will also be a celebrity auction at 2 p.m. then for the finally, a showing of GWTW at 4 p.m.. Costs for the film is $10 and is the same for the guest speakers, Curtis and Kuhn.

Mattern, who has been working at the museum since 1999, said that she still gets requests from people wanting to do reports or a project on Clark Gable., even young kids, she said.

“We even get grade school people coming in, from not just Harrison County wanting information to take a report back to the school,” she added.

The Clark Gable Museum is open for tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
