Born November 9, 1951 in Dennison she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Jane Fowler Erwin. A 1970 graduate from Carrollton High School, Becky worked with her family at Erwin’s Greenhouse in Scio most of her life. She took over the business around 1996 then in 2007 she passed the business on to a third generation, her niece Linda Abel, after a period of declining health. Becky was Jehovah’s Witness by faith and was a member of the Scio Garden Club. She was a creative and enjoyed making crafts out of ceramics and ostrich eggs. Although she never had children of her own she cared for and helped raise many of her nieces and nephews as if they were her children.
Surviving are her siblings Evelyn (Tim) Miller, Billy (Karen) Erwin, Buster (Cathy) Erwin and Mary Jane Price all of Scio; nieces and nephews Jay, Angel and Scotty Gates; Bonnie, Janet and Tiny Winn, Bill and Susan Erwin and Linda and Glenda (Peewee) Abel; eighteen great nieces and nephews and thirteen great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Sally Winn.
Services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in Koch Funeral Home, Scio, with John Dicks officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 Friday at the funeral home.
