CADIZ – Voters can catch a glimpse of their potential leaders before heading to the polls as the Cadiz Business Association and Harrison County Chamber of Commerce jointly host a Meet the Candidates event on Sept. 12.

Prospective local and state representatives are scheduled to appear during the function to be held at the Harrison Central Jr./Sr. High Auditorium from 6:30-8 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tables will be placed outside the auditorium for candidates to display fliers, pens and other keepsakes. The event will be moderated by Michael McTeague, an associate professor and dean at Ohio University.

Among those slated to appear are Harrison County Sheriff Joe Myers, county commission candidate Paul Coffland, incumbent county Recorder Tracy Boyer, Boyer’s opponent Eugene Hilligas, county treasurer candidate Richard Anderson, Ohio Representative contender Charles Daniels and state Senate candidate Shane Thompson.
