An impressive show of power and patriotism came buzzing by the Harrison County courthouse on the morning of August 30. A Blackhawk helicopter piloted by Warrant Officer Eric Henwood circled the courtyard to loud cheers and applause from the crowd who came to witness the event. Officer Henwood arranged the fly-by with his mother, Jane Henwood, an employee of the County Treasurer’s Office. Her son was en route to Ft. Campbell, Ky. from his station in Fort Drum, N.Y. He has been deployed three times in Iraq and Afghanistan during his 11 years in the Army. His mom says she is very proud. Flags were provided by David Rose from the VA office.
