JEWETT – A wonderful day of special programs awaits the public on April 1 that will take place at both the New Rumley UMC and the Jewett UMC throughout the course of the day. Both churches are inviting the public to morning presentations of “It’s All Because Of Jesus” and an evening presentation of “The Lord’s Supper and The Nail.”

The mini-musical entitled “It’s All Because Of Jesus” will be performed by the Born to Worship community Praise Team that will feature youth from several communities and is sponsored by the New Rumley UMC. The musical will be performed at the New Rumley UMC at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 1, followed up by a second performance at the Jewett UMC later that morning at 10:30 a.m. In addition to great music and a contemporary skit, the youth will also play percussion instruments and perform a beautiful dance. Will May assisted with the percussion portion of the program, and Mackenzie Jurosko choreographed the dance. Musical assistant for the program is Susan Blanke and Drama assistant is Denise Jurosko.

“The Lord’s Supper and The Nail” will also be presented on April 1, at 7 p.m. at the Jewett UMC. The public is invited to join the Disciples as they share in the bread and wine of Holy Communion. As the evening progresses, all are invited to drive their “nail” in the cross of Jesus’ crucifixion. There will also be special music from Joe Penna of H.I.M.S. and from members of the Jewett UMC Church family. Everyone is invited to join in this interactive time of remembrance.
