CADIZ – The Harrison News-Herald has announced Michael Sliva (pictured) as this year’s recipient of the Citizen’s Choice Award. Sliva, of Cadiz, will be lauded for his tireless commitment to community betterment during the 14th Annual Cadiz Business Association Community Recognition Banquet.

Sliva will be among many people, businesses and organizations recognized during the event on March 17 at Wallace Lodge in Sally Buffalo Park. Social hour starts at 6 p.m. with the dinner and awards ceremony at 7 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the CBA, Sally Buffalo Park Board and Harrison News-Herald with financial support by Frontier Communications. Seven awards will be presented from the CBA, Sally Buffalo Park Board, News-Herald, Cadiz Lions Club and Cadiz Women’s Civic Club. Adrian Pincola returns as Master of Ceremonies and the Hoyts and DJ Jeremy Thompson will provide entertainment.

Tickets are $25 each and will only be sold in advance. They are available now at Harrison News-Herald, Cadiz-Harrison County Visitor’s Center, PNC Bank, Nancy’s Flowers and Gifts and Orme’s Hardware.
