On Thursday, February 23 from 6 – 8 p.m., the Jefferson County JVS, located off the Reeds Mill Broad Acre Exit of Route 22 near Bloomingdale, will be providing an opportunity for adults from the Jefferson County School District to see and experience some of the skills that students are taught at the JVS.

Tours will be conducted in most of the vocational laboratories: (Auto Body Tech., Auto Service Technician, Interactive Technology, Electrical Trades, Computer Networking, Power Mechanics, Carpentry, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Health Technologies, Multimedia & Design and Welding.)

Career Technical Instructors will be available to answer questions about their program and several programs will be conducting demonstrations as well as providing “Hands-On” learning activities.  For example: the Welding Program will be demonstrating pipe welding techniques.
