The Harrison County Military Support Group was joined by local church youth and 4-H Club members to play elves and pack boxes for troops serving overseas. About 52 boxes were filled with cookies, cards, snacks, decorations, toiletries and other gifts to cheer up personnel. Pictured are Chris Donato and Grant Cope of the Jewett United Methodist Church Helping Hands Youth Group wrapping presents. Volunteers also busily filled empty coffee cans with tasty cookies to remind them of home.

Area volunteers, organizations and business continue to bring support and holiday cheer throughout the county. Many of these projects are featured in this weeks print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
