The Harrison County Recorder’s office has been inundated with leasing company representatives researching local properties for mineral rights transactions for the booming oil and gas industry. The county could soon see some pay off with a $1.2 million conveyance fee from a $600 million deal struck between CONSOL Energy and Hess Corporation and officials hope it is a sign of good things to come to the economically strapped area.
