CADIZ – About 3,700 post offices are under review for potential closure, including 14 in the local area.
Citing the need to “right-size” its retail network amid more Internet-based patronage and lagging sales at traditional branches, U.S. Postal Service officials are studying traffic and usage at sites around Ohio and West Virginia with the possibility of shutting some down.
Among those under scrutiny are locations in Deersville, Piedmont, New Athens, Leesville, Lafferty, Fairpoint, Barton and Bannock. Find out more about the potential closures and replacement options in this weeks print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
