SCIO – Nestled in the farmlands of Taggart Road, just outside of Scio, is a new family owned and operated business, The Surplus Store, operated by Anna Miller and her family. The business opened up in October, but is planning its Grand Opening for May 17-25, offering 10-25% off of most items in the shop.

The shop features every type of closeout and buy-out item that one can imagine. The shelves are stocked with everything from bird feeders, gas grills, and patio furniture, to toys, small kitchen appliances, and camping supplies. There is also quite a selection of hardware type items and even above ground pool kits.

Stop in and check out the selection that the Millers have to offer, as new items come into the store quite often. The store’s hours are: Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The store is closed on Sunday
