CADIZ – The representative of a local watchdog group spoke out about amended guidelines regarding public comments at Harrison County Commission meetings.

Joyce Klingler, agent for the Harrison County Concerned Citizens group, addressed commissioners to spell out the organization’s purpose and to question policies regarding speaking at meetings.

A recent resolution amended an ongoing nine-day notification rule but now calls for seven days’ prior notice in writing for matters requiring a decision or approval or a request to address the board, while commissioners would consider the submissions. More on the amended resolution and comments by Klingler can be found in this weeks print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
