WEIRTON – Area middle school students get their first chance at some nighttime organized fun during the upcoming Friday Night Mayhem event this week at Millsop Community Center.

The city’s recreation department and Weirton Baseball Association are hosting the event this Friday night that’s scheduled from 8 until 11:30 p.m. Three other events will be held in April, May and June.  “We had a great kickoff earlier this month with the younger kids and this one should be even better as the middle school students get to enjoy a night of organized fun with their friends from all over the area,” Program Director Kevin Elias said.

Like the first, Friday’s event will include organized activities ranging from wiffleball, dodgeball and basketball to a movie, dance, aqua games and more.

Some refreshments will be included with each paid admission. Other concessions will also be sold at the event.

Admission to the event is $10 per student. Doors open at 7:45 p.m. Everyone coming to the event must be checked in and picked up by a parent or guardian who signs a permission slip.
