CADIZ – The federal government is taking action against its ballooning deficit and earmarked funds are being frozen to cut costs.
Jeanne Wilson, senior Appalachian regional representative for U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), met with Harrison County Commissioners on Monday to discuss matters impacting the federal, state and local levels. Wilson said a two-year freeze was in place on appropriations that affect Fiscal Years 2011-12.
A detailed report on the impact this will have on the county can be found in this weeks print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.

I just cannot figure out what happened to the six million dollars plus that Bob Fleagane left to Cadiz (and Harrison County?) as tax revenue on his estate when he passed away in the late ’80’s.
