CADIZ – The Clark Gable Foundation Museum will host a small celebration Tuesday, Feb. 1, on what would have been the Hollywood film legend and native son’s 110th birthday. Cake and coffee will be offered at the museum on Charleston Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along with tours and a movie presentation.
Gable spent some of his formative years in Cadiz and Hopedale before moving to Ravenna. He found fame as an actor, most notably for “Gone with the Wind” and “It Happened One Night,” the latter of which earned him an Oscar in 1934. He died in 1960 after filming “The Misfits” with Marilyn Monroe.
