The St. James Lutheran Church is located on East Main Street in Jewett. The land that the church occupies was donated by John Stahl in 1859, one of the founding members of the church. Each year the church holds a homecoming celebration in the fall to thank God for the church’s past and present heritage.

This week, in the print edition of the Harrison News-Herald we take a look at the rich history of St. James from its inception to present day; the only remaining Lutheran Church in Harrison County.
