CADIZ – Ongoing concerns over conditions at the Harrison County Dog Pound could soon come to an end in a joint effort with one animal rescue organization.
Jay Weiner, co-director of the California-based Gentle Barn Animal Rescue, has been in talks with county commissioners and said he was proposing an action plan and wish list to upgrade the facility on Dog Pound Road. Possible upgrades, comments and issues concerning the pound can be found in the January 15, 2011 print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
