HOPEDALE – The former Harrison Lakeland Elementary School is up for grabs as Freeport Township Trustees declined the school district’s offer to procure the building for $1.

“At this time, we want to announce that the township did reject our offer and we are considering the original recommendation by the superintendent,” said board President Deborah Kenny. Officials received a letter from Harrison County Prosecutor Shawn Hervey, who acts as the trustees’ legal counsel.
