CADIZ – It was a rollercoaster year for Harrison County as communities saw their share of ups and downs for 2010. Here are some of the highlights.
-Harrison Hills City Schools received new leaders.
-A fire destroyed the former Sentry Hardware Building on Main Street in Hopedale.
-Maj. Mark Smith left the Cadiz Police Department to answer a higher calling as a youth pastor in St. Clairsville.
-Jewett leaders placed a 1.5-mill levy on the ballot to maintain police protection but it later failed at the polls.
