SCIO – The Scio Dining Fork Ruritans celebrated their 50th Anniversary on December 14, but that wasn’t the only cause for celebration. The club also made history Tuesday night by electing its first female president, Jeannie Horn.

Pictured above, Ruritan member Harry Horstman presented the club’s “Citizen of the Year” award to Donald “Pete” Slates for his ongoing dedication and generosity to the community, and especially for his great interest and support of the Conotton Creek Trail.
