NEW PHILADELPHIA – Wrap up summer and indulge in great wine, exquisite foods and good tunes at the Wine, Whistles and a bit of Jazz fundraiser for Muskingum Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross on August 28 at Warther Museum, 331 Karl Avenue, Dover from 6 to 9 p.m.
Attendees will be greeted with a complimentary wine glass as they travel through the museum sampling exceptional fine wines paired with specialty foods and cheeses from local wineries and restaurants.
Four area wineries including Al-Bi Winery, Breitenbach Wine Cellars, Swiss Heritage Winery, and Raven’s Glenn Winery will be pouring a selection of fine wines to sample for those attending the event.
Fabulous food will be served by participating restaurants and businesses including Dante’s Pizza and Pasta House, Dennison Yard, Lighthouse Bistro, The New Peter Shear’s Downtown, The Pointe Café, Trax Diner, Uncle Primo’s, and Yaggi Cheese House.
Along their travels guests will be entertained by the fabulous local jazz trio Shomongus, the B5’s, and harpist Sarah Fouts. At the end of the trip a grand dessert buffet from Chef Cameron Krahel -McDonald/Marlite Conference Center and flavored coffees from The Daily Grind await them.
Opportunities to bid on an array of exhilarating getaways and exquisite gifts as well as theme baskets at the silent and live auctions will benefit local Red Cross programs and services to help our community prevent, prepare for and respond to any unexpected situation. The live auction this year will feature two AirTran Airways tickets, four Polar Express tickets, get-a-way package to Geneva Lake Lodge, two tickets to every Cleveland Cavaliers pre-season game as well as other great items.
“The funds raised from this event will help the chapter continue providing individuals and families of Carroll, Harrison and Tuscarawas counties with relief during disasters and helped them prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies,” said Chad Conrad, Muskingum Lakes Chapter executive director.
“We are truly grateful to our host sponsor Dunkin’s Diamonds for their tremendous support of the event,” Conrad stated. “Their desire to lend a hand to a charitable organization such as ours has turned this into a classy event to raise funds to help us make our community stronger and more prepared to reach those in need.”
Tickets are available now and include wine tasting, appetizers, dessert buffet, various cheeses, chocolate fondue, coffees, entertainment, Wine, Whistles and a Bit of Jazz wine glass and the atmosphere of Warther Museum.
Reservations for the event are $25.00 per person with cash, check or credit card being accepted.
